Stymiest placed second among 331 runners as UW-Oshkosh captured the team title at the Roy Griak Invitational held Sept. 24 in Falcon Heights, Minn. Stymiest completed the 8,000-meter race in a time of 25:47.7. Devin Monson of Hamline University (Minn.) ran his way to a first-place time of 25:33.9, while Michael Van Voorhis of the Wisconsin Track Club finished third in 25:50.4. UW-Oshkosh won the team title with 69 points. UW-La Crosse finished second in the 32-team meet with 85 points, while UW-Platteville placed third with 104, Hamline University fourth with 138 and UW-Eau Claire fifth with 162. UW-Oshkosh entered the meet ranked 15th in the NCAA Division III by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, while UW-La Crosse was eighth, UW-Platteville 34th and Hamline University 19th. UW-Eau Claire was unranked.
