Cazzola took first place in the 1,500-meter run and second in the 800-meter run at the Gina Relays held April 29-30 in Hillsdale, Mich. Cazzola won the event of 21 participants with a time of 4:24.36. Her performance surpassed the automatic qualifying standard for the upcoming NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship. Kelly Curan of the University of Notre Dame (Ind.) finished second and Katherine McCarthy of Grand Valley State University (Mich.) third with times of 4:25.52 and 4:26.11, respectively. Cazzola placed second among 68 contestants in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:12.65. Her performance surpassed the provisional qualifying standard for the upcoming NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship. Rebecca Tracy of the University of Notre Dame won the race with a time of 2:09.70. Katie Lenahan of Miami University (Ohio) finished third with a time of 2:12.95. No team scores were kept at the meet.
