Stang earned her first win of the week against the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) by the score of 8-1. She nearly pitched a perfect game as she retired the first 16 batters, until a pinch hit in the sixth inning broke up the perfect game. She then went on to collect her second win of the day against Hope College (Mich.), pitching 2.1 innings in relief. For the week, Stang had a 3-1 record, pitched 23.1 innings and recorded 25 strikeouts, including 12 in a shutout performance against Bowdoin College (Maine). The 12 strikeouts is the fourth highest single game total in the UW-Whitewater record book (where she also holds the record, 15 versus Ripon College March 19, 2010). Stang gave up 16 hits in her 23.1 innings of work and allowed five runs (four earned), for an ERA of 1.21 for the week.
