Guthrie broke a school record that stood for almost 30 years when she won the pentathlon at the UW-River Falls Brooks Classic, scoring 3,242 points and finished with the top marks in all five of the events. The total mark is a NCAA Division III provisional mark and is currently ranked sixth in the country. Guthrie broke the school record of 2,934 points set by Nanci Halverson in 1982. Guthrie’s finishes were: 8.93 in the 55m (789 pts); 4.91m (16-1 1/2) in the long jump (535 pts); 9.69m (31-9 1/2) in the shot put (509 pts); 1.62m (5-3 3/4) in the high jump (759 pts) and 2:33.44 in the 800-meter (650 pts).
