In competition against UW-Eau Claire Feb. 5, Thompson won and set a school record in the all-around with a score of 38.475. The previous mark was 38.425 set by Justine Weyer March 8, 2008. Her scores in the vault (9.550) and uneven bars (9.525) combined with the other UW-Whitewater gymnasts set school team event records (vault, 47.925; bars, 47.475). Thompson tied for first place in the balance beam and also tied for fourth-best in the UW-Whitewater record book with a score of 9.700. Her second 9.700 score in the floor exercise tied for first place and contributed to the team score of 48.150, which was good for second-best in the Warhawk record book. Her contributions helped UW-Whitewater post the first 190 total team score in school history, defeating UW-Eau Claire 190.050-185.100.
