Thompson was named the Most Valuable Player at the Surf-N-Slam Tournament in San Diego, Calif., as UW-Whitewater won the team title. In a 70-55 victory over Point Loma Nazarene College (Calif.), she scored 24 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the field and 4-of-9 from the free throw line and also grabbed 11 rebounds. Against Bethany Lutheran College (Minn.), Thompson reached double-figures in scoring with 12 points. In a 73-56 triumph over No. 14-ranked George Fox University (Ore.), she had a game-high 24 points, converting 7-of-12 field goal attempts and 10-of-12 free throws. In the three games, she totaled 60 points, 22 rebounds, three blocked shots and two steals.
