Coppage helped UW-Whitewater put the first points on the board in a 27-14 victory over UW-Stevens Point when he ran in a nine-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Then in the third quarter he scored another touchdown on a one-yard run. Along with the two touchdowns Coppage rushed 39 times for 179 yards, surpassing Chad Wurth for second place in the UW-Whitewater record book with 4,425 career rushing yards. Coppage also moved into third in the WIAC record book behind Andy Moriarty (2004-07) of UW-Oshkosh with 4,496 career rushing yards.
