Max Herro, Freshman (Dousman, Wis./Kettle Moraine), Quarterback of UW-Stevens Point
Herro accounted for all five touchdowns in UW-Stevens Point’s 39-25 win at UW-River Falls on Nov. 10. He threw for 295 yards and four touchdowns, while racking up 115 rushing yards and another touchdown on the ground. He had runs of 43 and 20 yards in the game and completed six passes for 29 yards or more, including a 49-yard touchdown strike for a 7-0 lead.

Harry Henschler, Senior (Janesville, Wis./Craig), Defensive Line of UW-Whitewater
Henschler tallied three tackles and recorded his seventh sack of the season to help No. 5-ranked UW-Whitewater to a 49-21 triumph at UW-Platteville on Nov. 10, that completed an undefeated season. He made all three tackles in the second quarter, holding two rushing plays to three yards or fewer and posting his sack for a four-yard loss on the Pioneers’ first play of the final drive of the first half. Henschler’s performance helped hold UW-Platteville to 25 yards rushing on 31 attempts, a 0.8 yards-per-carry average.

Delebreau came up big on special teams in his final career game, a 39-25 road win at UW-River Falls on Nov. 10. He twice blocked extra-point attempts, including one that teammate Sam Shafer returned for two points.

Week of Oct. 29 - Nov. 4
Offense

Cole Wilber, Senior (Mission Viejo, Calif./Dana Hills), Quarterback of UW-Whitewater
Wilber completed 17-of-27 passes for 228 yards and three touchdowns and added 20 rushing yards on four carries and his first career touchdown reception to help the No. 5-ranked Warhawks to a 59-7 triumph over UW-Stevens Point that helped the team clinch the WIAC championship outright. With 9:22 to play in the first quarter, Josh Ringelberg hit Wilber on a reverse pass play from six yards out to give UW-Whitewater an early lead. On the Warhawks’ first drive of the second quarter, he led the team 87 yards on 11 plays and hit Ryan Wisniewski for a 14-yard score to make it a 14-0 game. On the team’s next drive, Wilber rolled out to his left and hit Julio Perez for a seven-yard touchdown to give UW-Whitewater a three-touchdown lead. He found Mitchell Dess four minutes into the third quarter for a 52-yard score to give the Warhawks a 38-7 advantage. For the day, Wilber led UW-Whitewater on seven scoring drives and helped the team finish 7-for-7 in the red zone.

Charlie Brookshaw, Senior (Prescott, Wis.), Defensive Line of UW-Eau Claire
Brookshaw led the Blugold defense with six solo tackles, one sack and two tackles for losses in UW-Eau Claire’s 20-14 victory over UW-Oshkosh on Nov. 3. His sack came on a key second down play with 1:25 left on the clock in the fourth quarter helping to seal the victory. Brookshaw and the Blugold defense were dominant the entire game, holding the Titans to 1-for-11 on third down conversions and to 160 total yards of offense.

In a 38-33 victory over UW-Platteville on Nov. 3, Magee averaged 44.0 yards on five punts and had a long punt of 55 yards, with none of his five punts returned. Magee placed three of the punts inside the 20.

Week of Oct. 22 - 28
Offense

Alex Peete, Sophomore (Ringwood, Ill./Johnsburg), Running Back of UW-Whitewater
Peete rushed 15 times for a career-high 154 yards and three touchdowns to help the No. 5-ranked Warhawks to a 40-10 triumph at UW-Stout on Oct. 27. He set up and scored UW-Whitewater’s first touchdown in the first quarter, catching a 33-yard pass from Cole Wilber on third down and finishing the 11-play, 93-yard drive with an 18-yard touchdown run. Midway through the second quarter, Peete rumbled 56 yards for the longest run of his career and another score to put the Warhawks ahead 17-0. His final touchdown of the day, a 20-yard run on third down, came with 9:34 to play in the contest and give UW-Whitewater a 30-point lead. The performance was Peete’s fourth 100-yard rushing effort of the season and boosted his touchdown total to 13 for the year.

Shafer essentially sealed the Pointers’ 27-21 win over No. 10-ranked UW-Oshkosh on Oct. 27, with his second interception of the season. In the fourth quarter, he returned an interception 42 yards for a touchdown to give UW-Stevens Point a two-score lead. Shafer also made seven tackles, including four solo, in the victory.

Ponterio was 2-for-2 in field goal attempts in the Pointer’s 27-21 win over No. 10-ranked UW-Oshkosh on Oct. 27. His first of the day was a career-long 48-yard attempt that gave UW-Stevens Point its first lead of the day. He added a second field goal early in the fourth quarter.  Ponterio is now fourth in the conference with 39 points (by a kicker) this season.

Week of Oct. 15 - 21
Offense

Keyshawn Carpenter, Senior (Evergreen Park, Ill.), Running Back of UW-Stout
Carpenter rushed for a career-best 182 yards on 38 carries with three touchdowns as the Blue Devils defeated UW-Stevens Point, 31-27. He had five runs of over 10 yards, including a 25-yard rush that set up a tying score at 21-21 late in the second quarter. Carpenter carried the ball 11 times for first downs. He scored the first touchdown of the game, a two-yard rush at 8:56 of the first quarter, then added a one-yard run at 11:15 of the second quarter to give UW-Stout a 13-7 lead. Carpenter’s third touchdown came at 11:23 of the fourth quarter to break the tie game and give UW-Stout a 28-21 lead. The 38 rushes in a single game is the most for a Blue Devil since Andy Reese carried 38 times for 210 times against UW-Platteville on Sept. 10, 2005.

Carmelo Rosado, Sophomore (Beaver Dam, Wis.), Defensive Back of UW-Eau Claire
Rosado totaled five tackles, a fumble recovery and tallied two interceptions in UW-Eau Claire’s 40-16 win over UW-Platteville on Oct. 20. His second interception of the day was returned 45 yards for a touchdown, which came early in the fourth quarter giving the Blugolds a 26-9 advantage with just under 14 minutes left to play. Rosado led the Blugold defense that finished with four interceptions, three fumble recoveries, six sacks and 10 tackles for a loss. The win was the first WIAC victory in two years for UW-Eau Claire and first over UW-Platteville since 2009.

Almonte returned a kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown to get UW-Stevens Point on the board in the first quarter against UW-Stout on Oct. 20. It was his second kickoff return of 90 or more yards in as many weeks. Almonte is tied for the national lead with two kickoff returns for a touchdown this season. He became the first player in UW-Stevens Point history with three career kickoff returns of 90 or more yards for a touchdown.

Ben Schramski, Senior (Lake City, Minn./Lincoln), Quarterback of UW-La Crosse
Schramski accounted for five touchdowns (four passing; one rushing) in UW-La Crosse's 63-27 victory over UW-Stevens Point on Oct. 13. He finished 18-of-27 passing for 283 yards with four touchdowns, while also rushing for 37 yards on four carries and one touchdown. Schramski's four touchdown passes was a career-high. He threw a four-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter, while also scoring on a 16-yard run. Schramski had touchdown passes of six and 40-yards in the second quarter as UW-La Crosse took a 49-6 halftime advantage. He added a 32-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.

Ripplinger totaled five tackles and returned a recovered fumble 31 yards for a touchdown as UW-Oshkosh celebrated its home opener with a 31-10 victory over UW-Platteville on Oct. 13. Ripplinger gave UW-Oshkosh a 24-3 lead when he scooped up a fourth-quarter loose ball and ran 31 yards to the end zone. Ripplinger’s five tackles included three solo.

Offense

Ben Beckman, Junior (Blaine, Minn.), Quarterback of UW-River Falls
Beckman led an offense that totaled 501 yards in the Falcons’ game at UW-Platteville. He completed 28-of-41 passes for 405 yards and a touchdown. Beckman led a drive to start the second half where the Falcons scored a touchdown and then made it a three-point game after Beckman completed a pass on the two-point conversion. The 405 yards passing matched a program single-game record previously set in 2014.

Flathers recorded six tackles, 3.0 quarterback sacks, 3.0 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles in UW-La Crosse's 29-23 overtime win at UW-Stout on Oct. 6. His first sack of the game came in the second quarter, forcing a UW-Stout punt. UW-La Crosse then went 40 yards on the ensuing drive to score the go-ahead touchdown for a 14-9 lead. He forced a fumble on a quarterback sack at UW-La Crosse's 47-yard line in the third quarter with the Eagles recovering the ball. Flathers' second forced fumble on his third sack of the game was recovered by UW-La Crosse's Rusty Murphy in overtime, who returned it 67-yards for the game-winning touchdown.

Week of Sept. 24 - 30
Offense

Kyle Radavich, Sophomore (Greenfield, Wis./Whitnall), Quarterback of UW-Oshkosh
Radavich threw for a career-high 300 yards and five touchdowns in just more than three quarters of action as UW-Oshkosh opened WIAC play with a 48-14 victory at UW-River Falls on Sept. 29. Radavich’s third career start included scoring strikes of 56 and 27 yards to Riley Kallas in the first quarter, 13 yards to Dom Todarello in the second, 37 yards to Mitchell Gerend in the third and 57 yards to Todarello in the fourth. Radavich, who went into the contest with 252 passing yards and one touchdown pass on the season, completed 15 of 25 passes before exiting with 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Radavich’s five touchdown passes are the most in the WIAC this season and tied for third most in a game during UW-Oshkosh’s 124-year history.

Schlegel finished with 10 tackles, four solo, had two pass breakups and his second interception of the season in a 26-20 win over UW-Eau Claire on Sept. 29. With UW-Stout holding a 26-20 lead late in the fourth quarter, Schlegel’s interception sealed the win for the Blue Devils. With the Blugolds on the UW-Eau Claire 40, Schlegel stepped in front of a pass on the UW-Stout 45 and returned the ball to the UW-Eau Claire 43 with 1:37 left in the game and UW-Stout was able to run out the clock.

Foley had 4 punts for 160 yards in UW-Platteville’s 20-6 victory at UW-Stevens Point on Sept. 29. He had three punts inside of the 20 yard line, including one punt that landed on the one yard line pinning the Pointers back near their own end zone. Foley’s long punt on the day was 48 yards.

Week of Sept. 17 - 23
Offense

Rayshawn Graham, Junior (Blue Island, Ill./Eisenhower), Running Back of UW-Stout
Graham had a career day running the ball in a 49-24 non-conference home win over California Lutheran University on Sept. 22. He carried the ball 20 times for 172 yards and two touchdowns, including a 65-yard run at 8:35 of the second quarter to give UW-Stout a 21-3 lead over the Kingsman. That run came on the heels of a 2-yard touchdown score only minutes earlier. Graham had a 51-yard run in the fourth quarter that set up UW-Stout’s final score of the day. Graham had five runs of 10 yards or more and seven of his runs went for first downs.

Haydon Miller, Sophomore (Zimmerman, Minn.), Linebacker of UW-Stout
Miller helped key a defense that defeated California Lutheran University, 49-24 on Sept. 22 at home, making eight tackles, one interception and one pass break up. Early in the game, Miller stepped in front of a California Lutheran pass on second down on the Stout 39. Miller assisted in eight tackles, including one for a loss of seven yards, and one special teams tackle.

Mike Pratl, Senior (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West), Kicker of UW-Platteville
Pratl continued his success kicking this season with a strong performance in a 49-12 victory against Lakeland College (Wis.) on Sept. 22. He was 7-for-7 on extra points in the game. Pratl is perfect on extra points this season, converting all 19 of his attempts.

Kyle Radavich, Sophomore (Whitnall, Wis./Greenfield), Quarterback of UW-Oshkosh
Radavich accounted for both UW-Oshkosh touchdowns as the Titans defeated NCAA Division II Lincoln University of Missouri, 17-7, on Sept. 15 in Jefferson City, Mo. Radavich, who was making his second career start at quarterback, gave UW-Oshkosh a 7-0 lead with his 1-yard touchdown run midway through the first quarter. He then broke a 7-7 tie with his 6-yard touchdown pass to Mitchell Gerend early in the fourth period. Radavich completed 14 of 19 passes for 156 yards against the Blue Tigers, while rushing three times for one yard. He completed all nine of his passes (66 yards) in the first quarter and three of his four passes (70 yards) in the fourth.

Johnson had two key interceptions in the fourth quarter of UW-Stevens Point’s 51-28 win over Dakota State University (S.D.) on Sept. 15. His first interception set up the Pointers for a score that created separation from a pesky Trojans squad. On the next possession, his 33-yard pick-six sealed the win by putting UW-Stevens Point up by 24. Johnson also had six solo tackles in the win.

Schommer continued his strong start to the season, punting for an average of 48.1 yards against Missouri Baptist University on Sept. 15. It was his second straight game averaging over 45 yards. Against Missouri Baptist, Schommer had three punts over 50 yards, including a long of 57. He downed five of his punts inside the 20, including two that were downed inside the 5 yard line. Schommer is averaging 48.1 yards a punt on the season.

Schramski finished 22-for-36 for 285 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in UW-La Crosse's 34-31 win at No. 21-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University. He also rushed for 69 yards on nine carries and one touchdown. Schramski threw a pair of touchdown passes to Dominic Labellarte in the second quarter and scored on a 47-yard run in the third quarter.

Henschler registered five tackles, including 2.5 for a loss, and forced a fumble to help the No. 12-ranked Warhawks to a 24-6 triumph over Concordia College-Moorhead (Minn.) at Perkins Stadium on Sept. 8. On second-and-goal for the Cobbers from UW-Whitewater’s 6-yard line, Henschler forced a fumble on a sack and the Warhawks recovered to thwart Concordia’s comeback attempt. Henschler held four running plays to three yards or less, including two for a loss of one yard each.

Goetsch recorded three field goals in the Blugolds’ 30-23 double overtime win over St. Norbert College (Wis.) on Sept. 8. He scored UW-Eau Claire’s first nine points, hitting twice from 35-yards in the first quarter and adding a 22-yard field goal in the second quarter. Goetsch also tallied nine punts for 309 yards with an average of 34.3 yards per punt, connected on all three PAT’s, recorded five kick-offs for 279 yards (56 yards per kickoff), and helped UW-Eau Claire to a 2-0 start to the season for the first time since the 2010 campaign.

Babich rushed for 106 yards on 17 attempts with four rushing touchdowns against East Texas Baptist University in a 59-44 triumph on Aug. 30. He was integral in the Pioneer’s 42-point rally in the second half. His long run came on a 50-yard run burst in the fourth quarter to secure a two-score lead. Babich accumulated half of the Pioneers touchdowns in the contest with three of the four touchdowns coming in the second half.

Jennings Jr. played a major role as visiting UW-Oshkosh took the lead with 85 seconds to play and held on for a season-opening 20-9 victory over Carthage College (Wis.) on Sept. 1. Jennings Jr. intercepted three passes (all in UW-Oshkosh territory), blocked an extra point and totaled 1.5 quarterback sacks against the Red Men. He finished the contest with seven tackles overall. Jennings Jr. recorded a pass interception in three different quarters, including a game-ending steal that was returned 68 yards for a touchdown. Carthage College was trailing 14-9 and had the football on the UW-Oshkosh 43-yard line prior to the interception. Jennings Jr. also intercepted Carthage College passes at the UW-Oshkosh 6-yard line in the first quarter and the Titan 16-yard line in the third. Carthage College pulled to within 7-6 of UW-Oshkosh late in the second quarter, but Jennings Jr. helped the Titans preserve their one-point lead by blocking the ensuing extra point. UW-Oshkosh would eventually take that 7-6 lead into the fourth quarter.

Ramos recovered two blocked punts in the third quarter against East Texas Baptist University on Aug. 30. He recovered the first blocked punt at the ETBU 30 yardline for the Pioneers to move on to score after the turnover. Ramos went on to block and recover a second punt and return it 21 yards for a Pioneer touchdown. His recoveries and return for a touchdown were an integral part of the Pioneers’ 42-point second half rally in their 59-44 victory.
